Rain Man (1988)

Rain Man is a 1988 American road comedy-drama film directed by Barry Levinson and written by Barry Morrow and Ronald Bass. It tells the story of abrasive, selfish, young wheeler-dealer Charlie Babbitt (Tom Cruise), who discovers that his estranged father has died and bequeathed virtually all of his multimillion-dollar estate to his other son, Raymond (Dustin Hoffman), an autistic savant of whose existence Charlie was unaware. Charlie is left with only his father’s beloved vintage car and rosebushes. Valeria Golino also stars as Charlie’s girlfriend, Susanna. Morrow created the character of Raymond after meeting Kim Peek, a real-life savant; his characterization was based on both Peek and Bill Sackter, a good friend of Morrow who was the subject of Bill, an earlier film that Morrow wrote.[5]

Logan is a 2017 American superhero film starring Hugh Jackman as the titular character. It is the tenth film in the X-Men film series and the third and final installment in the Wolverine trilogy following X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) and The Wolverine (2013). The film, which takes inspiration from “Old Man Logan” by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven, based in a bleak future, follows an aged Wolverine and an extremely ill Charles Xavier who defends a young mutant named Laura from the villainous Reavers led by Donald Pierce and Zander Rice. Company, and distributed by 20th Century Fox. It is directed by James Mangold, who co-wrote the screenplay with Michael Green and Scott Frank, from a story by Mangold. In addition to Jackman, the film also stars Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, and Dafne Keen. Principal photography began in Louisiana on May 2, 2016, and wrapped on August 13, 2016, in New Mexico. The locations used for Logan were mainly in Louisiana, New Mexico, and Mississippi.

Mortal Kombat is an American series of martial arts action films based on the fighting video game series of the same name by Midway Games. The first film was produced by Lawrence Kasanoff’s Threshold Entertainment. The first film, Mortal Kombat, was released in 1995 and its sequel, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, was released in 1997. After the two films, game publisher Midway filed for bankruptcy. Warner Bros., having become the parent of New Line Cinema in 2008 (after over a decade of both operating as separate divisions of Time Warner), made a bid to purchase most of Midway’s assets, including Mortal Kombat. In June 2009, Kasanoff and Threshold sued in bankruptcy court, arguing that they owned the copyright to many of the characters from the series.

Saints and Soldiers (2003)

“Saints and Soldiers” (2003) is a war drama film directed by Ryan Little. Set during World War II, the film follows the harrowing journey of a small group of American soldiers who are caught behind enemy lines after the Malmedy Massacre during the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944.

The story centers on four soldiers: Corporal Nathan “Deacon” Greer, a devoutly religious sharpshooter; Private First Class Gould “Shifty” Shivers, a nervous but capable radio operator; Corporal Gordon Gunderson, a brave and competent leader; and Private Steven Gould, a reluctant medic. They are joined by a British pilot, Flight Sergeant Oberon Winley, whose plane was shot down.

Black Water: Abyss is a 2020 Australian horror thriller film directed by Andrew Traucki. It is a standalone sequel to Black Water (2007). In the film, a group of friends venture in deep forests of Australia to explore a remote cave system. However, when a tropical storm hits and rising flood waters trap them deep below the surface, something even deadlier emerges from the darkness—a large killer crocodile. It was released on July 10, 2020.

“Extraction” (2020) is an action-thriller film directed by Sam Hargrave and written by Joe Russo. The story revolves around Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth), a black market mercenary with a haunted past, who is hired to rescue Ovi Mahajan Jr. (Rudhraksh Jaiswal), the kidnapped son of an Indian crime lord.

Set in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the plot begins when Ovi is abducted by Amir Asif (Priyanshu Painyuli), a ruthless Bangladeshi drug lord, in an attempt to exert power over Ovi’s father. Tyler Rake, known for his lethal skills and fearless nature, is tasked with extracting Ovi. However, what starts as a straightforward mission quickly turns into a deadly and complex ordeal as Tyler faces overwhelming odds, including corrupt police, military forces, and relentless waves of gang members.

Blade (1998) is a superhero action film directed by Stephen Norrington and based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The film stars Wesley Snipes in the titular role, along with Stephen Dorff, Kris Kristofferson, and N’Bushe Wright.

The film follows Blade (Wesley Snipes), a half-vampire, half-human hybrid with exceptional strength, agility, and the ability to heal rapidly. Blade uses his powers to hunt down and eliminate vampires, who are waging a covert war against humanity. Blade’s quest is driven by his desire to rid the world of vampires and to find a cure for his vampiric condition, which is a result of his mother’s exposure to vampire blood during pregnancy.

The main antagonist is Deacon Frost (Stephen Dorff), a powerful and ambitious vampire who seeks to unleash a prophecy that will allow vampires to dominate the world. Frost’s plan involves awakening an ancient vampire deity, and Blade must stop him to prevent the impending apocalypse.
