THE NUN II
“The Nun II” (2023) is a supernatural horror film
Directed by Michael Chaves and serves as a sequel to The Nun (2018). It is part of The Conjuring universe, which includes multiple interconnected films based on the real-life paranormal investigations of Ed and Lorraine Warren. This film explores the ongoing terror of the demon nun, Valak, first introduced in The Conjuring 2.
Plot Summary:
Set in 1956, the film follows Sister Irene (played by Taissa Farmiga) as she once again faces the evil force of Valak. After a priest is murdered in a chilling and mysterious way, Irene is called upon to investigate. Along the way, she reunites with her friend, Frenchie (Maurice, played by Jonas Bloquet), who becomes more intricately tied to the demonic presence. As the entity grows stronger, the line between reality and nightmare blurs, with terrifying consequences.
“This demon was once an angel.” Warner Bros / New Line have revealed the first official trailer for horror sequel The Nun II, from filmmaker Michael Chaves (The Curse of La Llorona, The Conjuring 3). This one is a follow-up to Corin Hardy’s The Nun (from 2018) which was also a spin-off from The Conjuring series, with another story in that paranormal universe. This September, the greatest evil in the conjuring universe returns.
New Line Cinema brings the horror thriller The Nun II, the next chapter – set in 1956 in France, with the demon nun Valek back again. Taissa Farmiga returns as Sister Irene, joined by Jonas Bloquet, Storm Reid, Anna Popplewell, and Bonnie Aarons (reprising her role from The Nun). Featuring a new scored by composer Marco Beltrami (2022’s Scream, Venom: Let There Be Carnage). More freaky nun horror to keep everyone away from churches. You send that thing back to Hell! Or else… it’ll come for us all.
1956 – France. A priest is murdered. An evil is spreading. The sequel to the worldwide smash hit follows Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga) as she once again comes face-to-face with Valak, the demon nun. The Nun II, also known as Nun 2, is directed by American filmmaker Michael Chaves, director of the two horror films The Curse of La Llorona and The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It previously, as well as a few other short films.
The screenplay is written by Ian Goldberg & Richard Naing and Akela Cooper (M3GAN, Malignant), with a story by Cooper, based on characters created by James Wan & Gary Dauberman. The Safran Company’s Peter Safran and Atomic Monster’s James Wan produce, continuing their collaboration as filmmakers on all of the previous Conjuring films. Warner Bros will debut Chaves’ The Nun II horror sequel in theaters nationwide starting on September 8th, 2023 later this year. First impression? Looking scary?

CLASH OF THE TITANS
In Clash of the Titans (2025), the epic saga of gods and mortals continues with Perseus (Sam Worthington) being thrust back into a world of myth and war.
Years after his battle against the Kraken, Perseus has retreated to a quiet life with his son, but peace doesn’t last long. When an ancient prophecy foretells the awakening of a long-dormant Titan, the gods once again call on Perseus to prevent the destruction of both mankind and Olympus.
The Titan in question is Typhon, the father of monsters, imprisoned deep beneath the earth. Hades (Ralph Fiennes) and Poseidon (Danny Huston) warn that Typhon’s release would trigger a new war between gods and Titans, but Zeus (Liam Neeson), weakened after the betrayal of his fellow gods, cannot fight this battle alone.
Reluctantly, Perseus embarks on a perilous journey to the Underworld to retrieve a weapon forged by the gods—one powerful enough to defeat Typhon. Alongside him are Andromeda (Rosamund Pike) and Agenor (Toby Kebbell), as well as a young warrior named Theron (Terrance Lau), whose motivations remain unclear.
The movie’s tension reaches its climax when Perseus faces off against Typhon, a monstrous creature of unimaginable size and power. With Zeus fighting his own battle to reclaim his strength, Perseus must draw on his mortal instincts and the gods’ forgotten magic to stand a chance.
In a shocking twist, Theron betrays Perseus, revealing himself as an agent of chaos, working to bring about the Titans’ return. The film ends on a cliffhanger, as Zeus sacrifices himself to imprison Typhon, but in doing so, he leaves Olympus vulnerable to a new, even greater threat—the rise of the primordial deities.
