“Ghost Rider” is a 2007 supernatural superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Directed by Mark Steven Johnson, the film stars Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze, a motorcycle stuntman who makes a pact with Mephistopheles (played by Peter Fonda) to save his father from cancer. In exchange, Blaze unwittingly sells his soul to become the Ghost Rider, a fiery spirit of vengeance.
As the Ghost Rider, Blaze is cursed to hunt down and punish the wicked by transforming into a skeletal figure with a flaming skull and wielding a chain whip that can incinerate evil souls. He struggles with his dual identity, trying to control the demon within while seeking redemption for his past sins.
The story unfolds with Blaze attempting to break free from his curse, confronting the demon Blackheart (played by Wes Bentley) and his allies, who threaten to unleash Hell on Earth. Alongside him is Roxanne Simpson (played by Eva Mendes), Blaze’s former love interest, who becomes entangled in the supernatural conflict.
