In this breathtaking live-action adaptation of the beloved Disney classic, Moana Waialiki (played by a talented, rising actress) is no longer the adventurous young girl from Motunui, but a confident young woman destined to save her people. As the island of Motunui faces a catastrophic drought and food shortage, Moana must once again set sail across the vast ocean to find the heart of the problem—and the only solution: Te Fiti’s Heart.
When the island is threatened by unpredictable storms and dangerous sea creatures, Moana learns that the ancient curse that has long plagued her people is returning. The demigod Maui (played by Dwayne Johnson) is reawakened from his own slumber, still struggling with his past mistakes, but willing to help Moana, albeit reluctantly.
