They believe that it is well over 80,000 years old by now and that it comes from an alien civilization that lives even further than the Andromeda galaxy. Not only that, but they also believe that this message is a request for help.
The leader of the United Nations research team known as Viktor Kulikov was the first to report this discovery to the general public, stating that even though they cannot disclose the actual message to the world they should know that it is prehistoric, to say the least and that it is a plea for help.
