“Predator 2” is a 1990 science fiction action film directed by Stephen Hopkins. It serves as a sequel to the 1987 film “Predator” and stars Danny Glover, Gary Busey, María Conchita Alonso, and Bill Paxton.
The film is set in Los Angeles in the near future of 1997, where a heat wave intensifies gang warfare and crime in the city. Lieutenant Mike Harrigan (Danny Glover) of the LAPD’s Special Forces is determined to bring down the violent drug cartels terrorizing the city streets. However, his investigations lead him to discover that the brutal killings are not the work of human criminals but rather a technologically advanced alien creature known as the Predator.
As Harrigan pursues the Predator through the urban jungle of Los Angeles, he becomes embroiled in a deadly game of cat and mouse. Along the way, he allies with a covert government task force led by Agent Peter Keyes (Gary Busey), who has been studying the Predator’s hunting patterns and capabilities.
