The Day (2011)
The Day (2011) is a post-apocalyptic thriller directed by Douglas Aarniokoski and written by Luke Passmore. The film is set in a bleak, dystopian future and follows a group of survivors as they navigate a world ravaged by an unspecified disaster.
The film centers on a group of five survivors—Adam (Shawn Ashmore), Dani (Ashley Bell), Hunt (Dominic Monaghan), Kenny (Cory Hardrict), and Mary (Shannyn Sossamon)—who are searching for shelter and food in a desolate world. 
They stumble upon a seemingly abandoned farmhouse that offers temporary refuge. However, their respite is short-lived as they are soon attacked by a gang of ruthless, cannibalistic marauders.
The film follows the survivors as they must defend themselves from the relentless attackers and find a way to escape the perilous situation. Themes of trust, survival, and human nature are explored as the group faces both external threats and internal conflicts.
