The FIA has decided to extend the DRS zones that F1 drivers can use during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix this weekend.
The Baku circuit has two activation zones, one at the exit of Lap 2 and a long straight down the pit road and into the braking zone for Lap 1.
Both zones have been slightly altered over the weekend, with the big changes coming to the second activation zone on the pit straight.

In 2023, drivers will be able to open their rear flaps for around 447 metres after the final right-hand turn on Circuit 20, but in 2024 this distance has been reduced by 100 metres to 347 metres after the final corner.
The DRS zone at the exit of Turn 2 has actually been shortened by two metres.
During the 2023 season, the FIA decided to shorten some DRS zones, but drivers were unhappy that this reduced overtaking, with the Belgian Grand Prix straight leading to the Kemmel Straight being one of those affected.
Elsewhere, the track has undergone minor works, including new sections of asphalt between turns 2 and 3, 7 and 8, and 12 and 13.
