Rihanna, the iconic 36-year-old R&B artist, has shared her amazement at motherhood in a new conversation with Interview Magazine, revealing that she still can’t believe she has two babies. Although she’s been busy with her role as a mother over the past two years, the “Umbrella” hitmaker hadn’t previously opened up in depth about her two sons, RZA and Riot.

In the cover shot for the spring 2024 issue of the magazine, Rihanna is seen in a nun-inspired outfit with bold blue eyeshadow and ruby red lipstick. In another image, she sports a blonde wig and a blue sweater, with extra blush on her cheeks.

During the interview, Rihanna gushed about her partner, A$AP Rocky, calling him “the best,” but joked that she always feels “bummy” next to him in terms of fashion. “I feel like I’m his assistant,” she said. “I’m getting on a plane. We should be in sweats. He wants to be in a full Bottega suit. I’m like, ‘Why do you have to do that to me?’”

When asked if there’s any fashion competition between her and the 35-year-old rapper, Rihanna laughed it off and explained that she focuses on comfort when dressing around her kids. “I spend my time getting them dressed, and then I’m like, ‘What’s the most comfortable outfit to wear around them? What’s not going to feel uncomfortable on their face or body or make me feel like I can’t hold them properly?’”

Regarding her two sons, Rihanna shared that she has “racks” and “bags” of clothes that are meticulously organized and sized for both children. “They’re all sized and organized, and whatever gets too small for RZA, I put into bins so that Riot can wear them next,” the mom of two added. “Riot is already in all of RZA’s 1-year-old clothes, and he’s only 6 months old. Everyone thinks Rocky dresses them because I put them in Rocky’s outfits.”

Rihanna also revealed that RZA’s first word was “Hey,” which they turned into a fun little tune between them. She shared that she used to call out to him with “Hey, hey, hey” to get his attention, and one day he responded with the same melody. This sweet interaction became a special moment between mother and son.

It seems Rihanna is truly enjoying motherhood, as she recently shared her astonishment at having two babies. Although she hasn’t shared much about her children in the past, her recent conversation and the stunning photos in the magazine offer a special glimpse into her experience as a mother.
