Spawn is a dark fantasy action film directed by Mark A.Z. Dippé. The story follows Al Simmons (Michael Jai White), a black ops soldier who is betrayed and murdered by his superior, Jason Wynn (Martin Sheen).
Resurrected from Hell by the demon Malebolgia, Simmons returns to Earth as Spawn, a hellish antihero with supernatural powers. As he struggles to regain his humanity and avenge his death, Spawn battles Wynn and the sinister Clown (John Leguizamo), while resisting the forces of evil that seek to control him.
The film explores themes of vengeance, redemption, and the eternal battle between good and evil.
