Saints and Soldiers (2003)
“Saints and Soldiers” (2003) is a war drama film directed by Ryan Little. Set during World War II, the film follows the harrowing journey of a small group of American soldiers who are caught behind enemy lines after the Malmedy Massacre during the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944.
The story centers on four soldiers: Corporal Nathan “Deacon” Greer, a devoutly religious sharpshooter; Private First Class Gould “Shifty” Shivers, a nervous but capable radio operator; Corporal Gordon Gunderson, a brave and competent leader; and Private Steven Gould, a reluctant medic.
