The Blob (1988)
The Blob (1988) is a remake of the 1958 science fiction horror film of the same name. Directed by Chuck Russell, the film is known for its special effects and its modernized take on the classic B-movie monster concept.
The film centers on a small town that is invaded by a gelatinous, flesh-eating creature from space. The Blob, initially discovered in a meteorite, grows rapidly as it consumes humans and other living things. 
The story follows a group of teenagers who must confront the Blob and try to stop it before it devours the entire town.
