The fire began at 10:30 AM local time, rapidly spreading due to strong winds. Within hours, three separate blazes from Hurst, Woodley, and Eaton areas merged into a massive inferno. 

The Pacific fire alone has scorched over 17,200 acres, while the Eaton fire has consumed an additional 10,600 acres.
