Liv Morgan defended her WWE Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley at Bad Blood 2024, with Dominik Mysterio locked inside the shark cage suspended above the ringside area. However, The Miracle Kid retained her title in a shocking turn of events.

In the match’s climax, despite beating Liv Morgan badly, Rhea Ripley chose to punish Dirty Dominik. She attacked him with a kendo stick before Raquel Rodriguez made a shocking comeback and attacked The Nightmare. This eventually forced the referee to call the match in favor of Ripley, and she was announced as the winner via disqualification.

However, despite the referee calling off the bout, Raquel Rodriguez dragged Morgan and covered Mami. This left fans wondering about the spot.
Later reports revealed the original ending of the match was for the 30-year-old to pick up the victory following the assistance of Big Mami Cool. There is a possibility Triple H could punish the former NXT Champion for ruining the ending of the bout. The CCO could suspend her; however, it is highly unlikely.
Liv Morgan lost her match against Rhea Ripley at Bad Blood after Raquel Rodriguez launched an attack on her from behind. However, Morgan retained her championship as the bout didn’t end via pinfall or submission.
Shortly after retaining her title and welcoming the newest member of the family at Bad Blood, the WWE Women’s World Champion was interviewed backstage. She expressed that she retained her title because she is smarter than Ripley:
“I did exactly what I said I would do. And I beat Rhea Ripley not because I’m bigger, not because I’m stronger, but because I’m smarter. But you know who’s bigger and stronger than Rhea Ripley? Raquel Rodriguez.” [0:17-0:31]
It will be interesting to see how The Nightmare will counter the numbers game and whether the Stamford-based promotion will book her match against Big Mami Cool or Morgan shortly.
