CONOR McGREGOR is back in the gym, training for a UFC return, but his fans are starting to worry it might never happen.

The Irish superstar was initially set to make his comeback on June 29 against Michael Chandler, marking his first fight since 2021. However, a toe injury forced him to withdraw, marking the first time he’s ever pulled out of a UFC fight.
Since then, McGregor has openly expressed frustration about not securing a new fight date. Despite keeping up with his training, even sharing clips of himself hitting the pads, fans are growing skeptical.
One fan commented, “Conor will never fight in the UFC again. YouTuber boxing is the most he can do now.” Another added, “He looks slow and sloppy.”
Some fans are convinced his fighting days are behind him, with one saying, “Just admit it, you’re not fighting ever again.” Others, however, are still holding out hope, with one stating, “Looking good.”
Meanwhile, Chandler, 38, has now booked a rematch against Charles Oliveira, 34, scheduled for November 16 in New York. This leaves McGregor’s next fight in limbo, but he’s already eyeing a new target: welterweight champion Belal Muhammad, 36.
During a Duelbits livestream, McGregor expressed his interest, saying, “He’s woeful. I want to fight him. Now that Chandler’s taken, let’s schedule Belal-McGregor for the UFC welterweight world title.”
McGregor remains confident in his welterweight potential, boasting, “I’ve got multiple knockouts at 170lbs. I’m a force to be reckoned with at that weight. Check the stats—100 percent accuracy on my finishes. This guy doesn’t even have a knockdown in UFC history.”
He didn’t hold back, continuing, “It’s embarrassing, to be honest. These guys are all bums. But for the strap? Yes, I’m in. Let’s make it happen, Dana and the lads.
