The premiere of season two of Yung Miami’s podcast Caresha Please was full of surprising revelations, as the former City Girls star unexpectedly broke her silence about her past relationship with the controversial music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs and other controversies.
Yung Miami, whose real name is Caresha Brownlee, discussed this year’s controversies alongside her special guest and longtime friend, rapper Saucy Santana. The 33-minute episode began with a brief monologue by Brownlee, hinting at the information to come, saying, “I wanted to tell my truth, my story, on my platform where I feel safe.”
The podcast officially kicked off with the City Girls rapper opening up about her mental health, expressing feelings of isolation and a lack of support from people she expected to have her back amid all the controversies involving her ex-boyfriend Combs.
“So mentally, one minute I’m happy, the next I’m sad,” she said. “One minute, I’m like, ‘Fk this st.’ And then the next, I’m looking at my kids, telling myself I didn’t come this far to go backward.”

“I never thought I was bigger than the program,” she said, emphasizing that she was still very involved in the group and continued to put out music with her then-rap partner JT, whose real name is Jatavia Johnson.
Fans also criticized her silence on the series of allegations against Combs for various sex crimes and drug smuggling. Many assumed Brownlee must have been aware of these crimes, but she denied it.
“I can’t speak on these allegations because I wasn’t around at that time,” Brownlee stated. “I don’t know that person, and that wasn’t my experience.”
She added that she did not experience domestic violence from the accused rapper and that she doesn’t condone it, having survived two past relationships where she did experience abuse.
Finally, Brownlee said that the relationship was mutually beneficial, but it wasn’t just a business-based relationship. While she admitted there were things she wanted to learn from the mogul, they were in love.
