“The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” follows the story of four siblings—Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy Pevensie

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe follows the story of four siblings—Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy Pevensie—who are evacuated from London during World War II and sent to the countryside to stay with an old professor. While exploring the professor’s large house, the youngest sibling, Lucy, stumbles upon a magical wardrobe that leads her into the land of Narnia, a mystical world where animals talk and mythical creatures dwell.

In Narnia, Lucy meets a faun named Mr. Tumnus, who tells her about the White Witch, the evil ruler who has cast a spell over Narnia, making it eternal winter. Lucy returns to her siblings, but they don’t believe her story. However, Edmund soon enters Narnia as well and meets the White Witch, who promises him power and endless sweets if he brings his siblings to her.

Eventually, all four siblings enter Narnia together, and they find themselves caught in a battle between good and evil. They learn that the true ruler of Narnia is Aslan, a majestic lion who represents hope and justice. Aslan’s return signals the end of the Witch’s reign, and the Pevensie children are prophesied to play key roles in restoring peace.

Edmund, having betrayed his siblings by aligning with the White Witch, is eventually rescued by Aslan’s forces. However, the Witch demands Edmund’s life as payment for his treachery, citing ancient laws. In a powerful act of sacrifice, Aslan offers himself in Edmund’s place, allowing the White Witch to kill him on the Stone Table. But Aslan is resurrected through deeper magic, and he leads an epic battle against the White Witch’s forces.

The Pevensie siblings, with Aslan’s help, defeat the White Witch, and peace is restored to Narnia. Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy are crowned as the kings and queens of Narnia, ruling for many years before eventually returning to their own world, where no time has passed since they left.
