It’s often said that a dog is a man’s best friend. They often prove that they love their owners all the time whether they are going for a walk or after their owner passes away.
One dog made sure that his owner knew that he would always be there for him by visiting his grave each day.
Cesur is a little dog who loved his best friend. One day Cesur didn’t have his best friend at home to play with. Even after he realized that his owner wasn’t coming back home, the small dog continued to be a loyal friend.
Mehmet Ilhan was 79 when he passed away from an illness that he had been dealing with for several years. He died at a hospital with his family near him. His small dog had made the final two years of Mehmet’s life enjoyable. He had someone to talk to and to be with during the day and in the evening.
The death of Mehmet left Cesur heartbroken. He cried for his owner because he wanted him to be there again. While Mehmet was in the hospital, the little dog didn’t eat anything.
The family held a funeral for Mehmet. Cesur was included in the funeral and went to the cemetery when Mehmet was buried. The little dog was even in the lead of the procession as Mehmet’s casket was taken to its final resting place. The dog sat right by the casket while the family said their final good-byes. He hung his head in sadness, appearing as though he understood what was happening.
Even though Cesur saw the casket buried in the ground, he was still heartbroken. The little dog walked across the town for the first week after his owner died so that he could sit by his owner’s grave.
No one knows how long Cesur will keep visiting the grave or how long the little dog will survive as many dogs tend to grieve themselves to death because they miss their owners so much.
