Found a shape-shifting alien-like creature at a depth of 3,753 feet under the ocean

This video was taken by a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) near a drill wellhead at a depth of 3753 feet in the Indian Ocean.

Toward the end of the film, alien-like entities become engrossed in the success of the ROV thrusters. The footage was not altered and was shot off the east coast of Africa.

This enigmatic alien is without a doubt the most hazardous living species on the planet. According to marine biologist Bill Austin, it’s most likely a comb jelly (ctenophore). It was identified as a lobate Lampocteis ctenophore by George Matsumoto, a ctenophore (comb jelly) specialist at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Research Institute.

Comb jellies are jellyfish-like creatures with cilia that allow them to float in pairs or rows. Certain comb jellies have cilia strips that run the length of their exterior bodies.

In general, comb jellies are hunters. Only comb jellies use particularly modified “colloblast” cells to spray the glue onto their prey.
