AH-1Z Viper & UH-1Y Venom Live Fire Training off the Coast

U.S. Marines conduct live-fire drills off the coast with UH-1Y Venom and AH-1Z Viper helicopters to mainta in readiness, proficiency and skills as well as to demonstrate the capabilities of the helicopters in austere evironments.

AH-1Z Vipers locate and destroy a training drone using Intercept Missile (AIM) 9 Sidewinders missiles during defensive counter air operations in support of Summer Fury 21 Exercise.

Door Gunners conduct live-fire air support with UH-1Y Venom helicopters during UNITAS LXII Exercise. U.S. Marines with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force – UNITAS, called in for close air support to eliminate simulated targets during the call-for-fire training evolution.

UNITAS is the world’s longest-running annual multinational maritime exercise that focuses on enhancing interoperability among multiple nations and joint forces.
